During the 55th West Virginia Black Walnut Festival™, the 4-H and FFA Youth Livestock Show and Sale will be held at the Roane County High FFA Barn on Lick Fork.
During the three-day event a record number of children will compete in the Show and showmanship Contests. It all ends with the Livestock Show and Sale, which is greatly supported by our local businesses and community.
For more information, call the WVU Extension Office at 927-0975.
The 4-H, FFA projects, handicrafts, home grown vegetables, and canned good are on display at the Heritage Park Community Building. People all over the county bring their needlework, agricultural products, floral exhibits, canned and baked goods including some black walnut items to be judges and displayed. All entries are awarded with ribbons in each category. For the 2008 winners in all categories come to the information booth on Main Street during the festival.
